I've had a lot of people ask me whether I'm in a Boeing commerical that has been playing lately for Veteran's Day and the answer is......yes. They filmed it about 5 or 6 years ago and there's also a Memorial Day version that I'm in as well. Its played on all the cable news stations, the Military Channel and the History Channel as well as during the Sunday morning "politicals" on NBC, ABC and CBS during the week before Veteran's Day.
All of the actors are actual veterans and they shot the commercial in a cool house in Pasadena. I was originally wearing a lavendar sweater set but I fell on my way to the set and messed up the shirt. (And I wonder why I didn't have a great future in show business....) They changed my outfit and had me wear one of my old BDU jackets instead. I look like I hang out in bars and ask strangers for drinks in the commercial (in other words, like a bar fly). Its also a good look at how I looked when I weighed about 20 lbs more. Not so pretty.

No....I didn't enlist...but I'm playing an enlisted person on TV. That's why it's called acting. Actually I had an argument about saying that line because it wasn't true and they said "just say it one time so that we can have all the lines said" and, of course, they use that one take. Yeesh.
