1. In the fancy new Phoenix federal courthouse, the bathrooms have automatic, sensor-type soap dispensers where the soap comes out when you wave your hands in front of the mechanism but the water faucet requires that you turn a knob for the water to come out. Why did they think it necessary to go "high tech" ONLY on the soap dispenser?
2. Why do certain trucks on the freeway feel it necessary to have "Jesus is the Lord" painted in large letters on their sides? Is that really an effective marketing tool? Are there a lot of people who would not otherwise think that Jesus is the Lord without those signs? "Jesus is my gardener....[truck passes by with sign]...WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE.....Jesus is actually the Lord....I get it now...."
3. Why is there a guy at the Tucson Airport with a polo shirt on that says "Bomb Appraisal Officer" over his chest? Do a lot of people ask the government how much bombs are worth in Tucson? Is that a large career field?
4. How did the US immigration and customs guy at the Calgary airport who cleared me for a trip back to the US get his job? He could barely speak English and what he did speak was totally incomprehensible. I presume that he was hired by someone from the US....did they bother to interview him?
I'm just wondering.
